Some people choose a career. Others find a calling. For Simmer Bains, the moment came early — a client walked in not to ask for help, but to say thank you. He had just received a life-changing diagnosis, and wanted the team to know that the advice they had given him about life insurance was going to provide for his family even after he was gone. That moment shaped everything. This work, she understood, is about restoring people's sense of control over their future — even a future they may not be there to see.

Over 30 years — all of them at White Knight — Simmer has learned that financial planning is never really about the numbers. The numbers are the tool. The real work is understanding what someone truly values, what keeps them up at night, and what they want their life to look like decades from now. She has been there when clients got married, when they lost a spouse, when a child left for college. After three decades, some of those clients feel more like family. Her greatest hope is that one day, they'll want their own children to continue that relationship.

Outside the office, Simmer and her husband Amarpreet have been married for over 20 years and are raising two boys — Bhavnoor, a volleyball-loving soon-to-be senior who just got his driver's license, and Sahib, a soccer and basketball player heading into 7th grade. The values she brings to her clients — honesty, consistency, showing up — are the same ones she lives by at home.
